A few important EL dates-
- Sept ? (TBD) 6-12th-grade college visit to Ferris State University (lunch provided)
- Oct 3- EL Family Night (dinner provided)
- This will be a fun evening where the EL staff can meet the families of our English Learners. Come and enjoy games, pizza, meeting other families, and a short presentation about Hudsonville’s EL services. Everyone will leave our Family Night with a free book, and you may even win a fun prize! Location: Hudsonville High School Freshman Campus 3370 Allen Street
- April 17- International Night Celebration and Potluck
- A fun night to celebrate the different backgrounds and cultures of our students. Bring your favorite cultural dish to share.
Your EL teachers are busy screening our new students and working on elementary scheduling and services. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if we can help you or child as we settle into the new school year.
Congratulations to our EL paraprofessional, Mrs. Sarah VanWieren and her husband Nate, on the birth of their daughter Greta. Mrs. VanWieren is enjoying time home with little Greta for the first trimester and will be back with us soon. In the meantime, we are thrilled to have Mrs. Jayne Niles back with us. We also welcome back to the team Mr. Brian Kliensmith. He is teaching our 6-8 grade guided academics class at Riley St. Middle School.
